Revelation 2

  • 2:1 To the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things said he that holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the middle of the seven golden candlesticks;
  • 2:2 I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you can not bear them which are evil: and you have tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars:
  • 2:3 And have borne, and have patience, and for my name’s sake have labored, and have not fainted.
  • 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love.
  • 2:5 Remember therefore from where you are fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come to you quickly, and will remove your candlestick out of his place, except you repent.
  • 2:6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.
  • 2:7 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the middle of the paradise of God.
  • 2:8 And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things said the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
  • 2:9 I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
  • 2:10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be you faithful to death, and I will give you a crown of life.
  • 2:11 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches; He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death.
  • 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things said he which has the sharp sword with two edges;
  • 2:13 I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan’s seat is: and you hold fast my name, and have not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.
  • 2:14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.
  • 2:15 So have you also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
  • 2:16 Repent; or else I will come to you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
  • 2:17 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it.
  • 2:18 And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things said the Son of God, who has his eyes like to a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
  • 2:19 I know your works, and charity, and service, and faith, and your patience, and your works; and the last to be more than the first.
  • 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you suffer that woman Jezebel, which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
  • 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
  • 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
  • 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give to every one of you according to your works.
  • 2:24 But to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put on you none other burden.
  • 2:25 But that which you have already hold fast till I come.
  • 2:26 And he that overcomes, and keeps my works to the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
  • 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
  • 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.
  • 2:29 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches.

Revelation 1

  • 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John:
  • 1:2 Who bore record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
  • 1:3 Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
  • 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
  • 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
  • 1:6 And has made us kings and priests to God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
  • 1:7 Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
  • 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, said the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
  • 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
  • 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
  • 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
  • 1:12 And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
  • 1:13 And in the middle of the seven candlesticks one like to the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the breasts with a golden girdle.
  • 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
  • 1:15 And his feet like to fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
  • 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength.
  • 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand on me, saying to me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
  • 1:18 I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for ever more, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
  • 1:19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
  • 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which you saw are the seven churches.

Jude 1

  • 1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
  • 1:2 Mercy to you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
  • 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write to you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write to you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.
  • 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • 1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
  • 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness to the judgment of the great day.
  • 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
  • 1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
  • 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you.
  • 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
  • 1:11 Woe to them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
  • 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit wither, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
  • 1:13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
  • 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints,
  • 1:15 To execute judgment on all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
  • 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
  • 1:17 But, beloved, remember you the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
  • 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
  • 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
  • 1:20 But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
  • 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
  • 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
  • 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
  • 1:24 Now to him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
  • 1:25 To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

3 John 1

  • 1:1 The elder to the well beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
  • 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.
  • 1:3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brothers came and testified of the truth that is in you, even as you walk in the truth.
  • 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
  • 1:5 Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do to the brothers, and to strangers;
  • 1:6 Which have borne witness of your charity before the church: whom if you bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, you shall do well:
  • 1:7 Because that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
  • 1:8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellow helpers to the truth.
  • 1:9 I wrote to the church: but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, receives us not.
  • 1:10 Why, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither does he himself receive the brothers, and forbids them that would, and casts them out of the church.
  • 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: but he that does evil has not seen God.
  • 1:12 Demetrius has good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yes, and we also bear record; and you know that our record is true.
  • 1:13 I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write to you:
  • 1:14 But I trust I shall shortly see you, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to you. Our friends salute you. Greet the friends by name.

2 John 1

  • 1:1 The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
  • 1:2 For the truth’s sake, which dwells in us, and shall be with us for ever.
  • 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
  • 1:4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of your children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
  • 1:5 And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
  • 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
  • 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
  • 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have worked, but that we receive a full reward.
  • 1:9 Whoever transgresses, and stays not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that stays in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.
  • 1:10 If there come any to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
  • 1:11 For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
  • 1:12 Having many things to write to you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come to you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
  • 1:13 The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.

1 John 5

  • 5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him.
  • 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
  • 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
  • 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
  • 5:5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
  • 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.
  • 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
  • 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
  • 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he has testified of his Son.
  • 5:10 He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself: he that believes not God has made him a liar; because he believes not the record that God gave of his Son.
  • 5:11 And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
  • 5:12 He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.
  • 5:13 These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.
  • 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us:
  • 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
  • 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not to death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not to death. There is a sin to death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
  • 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not to death.
  • 5:18 We know that whoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not.
  • 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.
  • 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
  • 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

1 John 4

  • 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
  • 4:2 Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
  • 4:3 And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
  • 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
  • 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them.
  • 4:6 We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
  • 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.
  • 4:8 He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.
  • 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
  • 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
  • 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
  • 4:12 No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us.
  • 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
  • 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
  • 4:15 Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.
  • 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.
  • 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
  • 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.
  • 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
  • 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
  • 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves God love his brother also.

1 John 3

  • 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.
  • 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
  • 3:3 And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
  • 3:4 Whoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
  • 3:5 And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
  • 3:6 Whoever stays in him sins not: whoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.
  • 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
  • 3:8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
  • 3:9 Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
  • 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.
  • 3:11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
  • 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And why slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
  • 3:13 Marvel not, my brothers, if the world hate you.
  • 3:14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brothers. He that loves not his brother stays in death.
  • 3:15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
  • 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
  • 3:17 But whoever has this world’s good, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?
  • 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
  • 3:19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
  • 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
  • 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
  • 3:22 And whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
  • 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
  • 3:24 And he that keeps his commandments dwells in him, and he in him.  And hereby we know that he stays in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.

1 John 2

  • 2:1 My little children, these things write I to you, that you sin not.  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
  • 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our’s only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
  • 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
  • 2:4 He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
  • 2:5 But whoever keeps his word, in him truly is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
  • 2:6 He that said he stays in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
  • 2:7 Brothers, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the beginning.
  • 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.
  • 2:9 He that said he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness even until now.
  • 2:10 He that loves his brother stays in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
  • 2:11 But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not where he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes.
  • 2:12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
  • 2:13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known him that is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father.
  • 2:14 I have written to you, fathers, because you have known him that is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God stays in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.
  • 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
  • 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
  • 2:17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God stays for ever.
  • 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
  • 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
  • 2:20 But you have an unction from the Holy One, and you know all things.
  • 2:21 I have not written to you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
  • 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.
  • 2:23 Whoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father: he that acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
  • 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
  • 2:25 And this is the promise that he has promised us, even eternal life.
  • 2:26 These things have I written to you concerning them that seduce you.
  • 2:27 But the anointing which you have received of him stays in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.
  • 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
  • 2:29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one that does righteousness is born of him.

1 John 1

  • 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked on, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
  • 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show to you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us;)
  • 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
  • 1:4 And these things write we to you, that your joy may be full.
  • 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
  • 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
  • 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleans us from all sin.
  • 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
  • 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  • 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
